Merry Christmas from the Griffo's...

Fortunately Santa was visiting Perth on the day we took in the sights.

This photo was taken some time ago, when we were at Cape Range National Park.

At Port Julien we managed to park next to Bonnie Doon. Ah! the serenity. Sonia cooked up some fish and chips....it was the way she did it. Cloe an Kai found some shells, they'll be going straight to the pool-room.

The foliage changed once again down the coast.
The Bell Tower in Perth. You might spot it again in a couple of the following photos.

Yes, we all climbed Jacob's Ladder. We had the "Eye of the Tiger" theme song going on in our minds. Nice "guns" guys.
Had to include this photo. Yes, it is the inside of a Gentleman's toilet in Perth. Above the urinal is a television to watch the Cricket and on the right was a one way window so you can see what is happening at the bar.

Cloe and Kai taking in the sights at Mandurah....good car colour choice kids.
Falcon's even ruling the water ways.
In the background is the Fremantle Maritime Museum. A highlight inside was the full size Australia 2 replica.
More boats than cars in Fremantle, hence they have to park their boats three stories high.

 Fun in Mandurah.
A home for Ollie, Kai's Camel from Cable Beach.

  2. Where do I begin? Looks like Cloe & Kai are still enjoying themselves, especially love the 'Rocky' pose! That's the first time I have seen the inside of a gents toilet, was the ladies equipped with TV, two way glass etc too? Still enjoying the photos, thanks so much for posting them so we can share in your adventure. All the way to 'Bonnie Doon' hey, so how's the serenity in your Çastle'? We can tell who is doing the commentary. Love the Christmas photo, hope you enjoy Christmas day at Busselton, will be thinking of you all, love the Willys

  4. Hey to the Griffo's,

How's it going? I thought I'd send another message now that the Christmas festivities are over for the year. It was great that Santa was visiting Perth when you were there. Cloe and Kai look happy and I'm sure they got some cool presents. Thanks for the fantastic Christmas photo and greetings. I loved the look on all of your faces. It was great you got to park next to "Bonnie Doon". It must've been a tranquil place to stay. Yum! Delicious! Fish n' Chips is one of my favourite meals. Cloe and Kai must've found some pretty special shells. It's amazing how the landscape changes along the coast. Yes, I've never been to Perth but I hear it's a beautiful city and your photos are certainly evidence of that. Is that the WACA I can spot in one of the photos? The Swan River is quite wide in some places isn't it? It would've been quite an adventure climbing "Jacob's Ladder". Well done on achieving that feat! I love "The Eye of the Tiger" song. Oh, and I loved the poses by the young ones too. What a surprise it was to see the inside of a toilet on your travels. Modern technology has come a long way. We won't mention the cricket though. C'mon Aussies! It must've been fun to see what was happening in the bar. Ah yes, I think I can see the "Bell Tower" in another photo. Cloe and Kai made a funny choice in the colour of their car. I would've chosen red. I wonder why?! It felt strange to see the name on the boat. He, He. Didn't they have one that said "Commodore"?! You beauty! It must've been fascinating to visit the Maritime Museum and interesting to see the Australia 2 boat. Wow, I'd love to visit Perth one day. It's difficult to comprehend all of those boats that needed to be parked on top of each other like that. You've taken some compelling shots of the kids on your journey. Kai looks like he's having the time of his life and Cloe has a great smile. I absolutely loved it! I'm pleased you found a home for Ollie. The photos certainly show you are all having a wonderful experience on your adventure. Where will you be spending New Years Eve? As your incredible journey continues into the New Year, I wish you much joy and every happiness. May your plans for 2011 be fruitful and I hope you find prosperity and peace in all that you do together. Here's wishing you an awesome time on the trip of a lifetime.

    Cheers,

    Stuart.
