Heading off in the new car, not overheating, sits on any speed we ask and the economy is amazing. "God's Marbles" as we call them are beautiful. Went for a two hour walk and did some great exploring to find Andrew's perfect shot. Drove onto Tennant Creek and did some Gold panning. We actually found some Gold, perhaps enough for half a tooth filling! (Thinking of you Doug) Will stay at Tennant Creek until Monday so Andrew can watch Bathurst!
Great photos, Cloe & Kai must have had a big breakfast! You have seen some amazing things. Glad 'Lightning' is going well, keep enjoying your holiday together. Blogging was a great idea, we love it. Love the willys

ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased that your'e having a great time. You deserve it! That's bad luck about "Lola". Although, it's good news that you stuck with a Land Rover. I hope you enjoyed yourself driving back to Adelaide. It must have been exciting to have a camp oven cooked meal. I love your photos of the wildflowers, wildlife and scenery. It has brought back some memories for me when I went up to the Alice, Uluru and Kata Tjuta (which in Aboriginal language means "Many Heads"). I didn't get up as far as "God's Marbles". I was glad that Holden won Bathurst. What happened to the Fords? Oh well, better luck next year! I am thinking of you all and hope that you continue to have a great time on your holiday.
